PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote failure diagnosis device for an elevator allowing even a person having no high level knowledge of an elevator to easily confirm a failure cause of the elevator. SOLUTION: When the failure of the elevator 1 is detected by terminal equipment 3, various kinds of data when the elevator 1 fails are transmitted to failure diagnosis devices 9 and 9A, together with failure signals. The various kinds of states of the elevator 1 based on the transmitted various kinds of data when the elevator 1 fails are made different according to normality or abnormality or an operation or non-operation, and are displayed on display screens 15A of display means 10 in the failure diagnosis devices 9 and 9A.
