PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device reduced in thickness while ensuring its high-speed recording. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device has a carriage 12 reciprocatively arranged in parallel with a main scanning direction and having a recording head for ejecting ink from a plurality of nozzles to a recording medium 14, a recording head recovering section 31 arranged at one moving end of the carriage 12 for cleaning the recording head, a carriage drive motor 17, arranged at the other moving end of the carriage 12 for reciprocating the carriage 12, and a recording medium transfer motor 26 arranged on an extension of a moving passage of the carriage 12 for driving a recording medium transfer roller 24 for transferring the recording medium 14.
