PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for purifying a contaminated soil in order to improve the purifying speed, in a purifying treatment technique of a contaminated compound in soil by the working of a microorganism. SOLUTION: In the purifying method for the contaminated soil which decomposes and purifies a contaminated substance in the soil by the microorganism in the soil, the moisture in the concerned soil is controlled and it is controlled repeatedly that the wet condition is made to be of a low wet condition or of a dry condition. As an effective microorganism for the contamination purification, a Rhodococcus oil content decomposing microorganism, or the like, is used. A period to make the soil from the wet condition to be of a low wet condition or of a dry condition is preferably not less than one day, and within 20 days or less. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
