PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side screen to be appropriately used for a desk for a single person as well as used in a free-address type office, with a firm self-standing property without making an office worker using the desk feel oppression. SOLUTION: The side screen 1 consists of a screen body 1A disposed on a use surface DTa of a top DT in the standing posture and a self-standing assisting part 1B continuously getting into the space under the lower surface DTb side of the top DT from the screen body 1A for holding the top DT with the screen body 1A in the direction of thickness. The width of the lower edge of the screen body 1A is such that the screen body 1A can stand by itself, and the width of the upper edge of the screen body 1A is smaller than that of the lower edge.
