PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf shoe capable of increasing the head speed of a golf club, achieving a stable golf swing, and stabilizing the hitting line of a golf ball, and a method of selecting the golf shoe. SOLUTION: A golf shoe 10a has a round shoulder 13a on a sole 12a on the inner foot side, and a golf shoe 10b has an insole face from an insole metatarsal bone implement part 18b to a heel part 16b which is horizontal or inclined so that the heel part is lower. The impulse response of the load variation of the left or right foot to the load variation of the left foot of a player and the impulse response of the load variation of the left or right foot to the load variation of the right foot are obtained when the player is wearing the golf shoes.
