PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin dispenser for an automatic vending machine capable of surely preventing improper input of coins even when three or more coin refund units are placed lining up side by side. SOLUTION: The coin dispenser is provided with sliding covers 20 for closing one slot opening 15a of a coin dispenser unit 13, which are fewer by one than the number of the coin dispenser units 13. The sliding covers 20 are slidably arranged side by side interfering with each other within a same sliding surface straddling to cover the slot openings 15a of all the coin dispenser units 13. Thus, within the sliding surface with all the slot openings 15a placed therein, only one slot opening 15a is always open while the rest slot openings are covered with the sliding covers 20, and then improper input of coins can be prevented.
