PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which an image failure never occur in a primary transfer part even in a case where the temperatures of the end parts of an intermediate transfer body rise, in an image forming apparatus which simultaneously transfers and fixes a toner image, formed on the intermediate transfer body once, onto a transfer medium from the intermediate transfer body. SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus that simultaneously carries out transfer and fixing with a heating means, at least one layer of an electronic conductive member is used as a primary transfer member. Thus, in the apparatus that simultaneously carries out transfer and fixing with the heating means, conventional problems such that an increase in the temperatures of the end parts is caused by passage of small-sized paper, a temperature difference is caused in a primary transfer roller, and image failure is caused are solved.
