PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doubled and twisted yarn for forming a carpet that has both aesthetic appearance of the pencil point-like pattern and high cushioning properties with soft feeling and compression recovery, light resistance, antifouling properties, and provide the carpet by using the doubled and twisted yarn. SOLUTION: (1) The doubled and twisted yarn for carpet comprises two or more filament yarns that are twisted or more filament yarns where the doubled and twisted yarn contains false-twisted yarns including polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber. (2) The doubled and twisted yarn for carpet contains the false twisted yarn including the polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber in an amount of 20 to 80 wt.%. (3) The doubled and twisted yarn for carpet comprises at least one filament yarn that is false-twisted and includes at least polytrimethylene terephthalate fiber and the others are polyethylene terephthalate fibers. (4) In the carpet, the doubled and twisted yarn is used as a pile yarn. (5) In the carpet, the pile yarn is used in the form of cut pile. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
