A pad assembly for coupling to a portion of a body is disclosed. The pad assembly includes a retaining ring and a covering. The retaining ring is configured to be coupled to the body and defines an aperture. The covering is coupled to the retaining ring and includes a skin portion and a plurality of projections. The skin portion covers at least a portion of the retaining ring. The plurality of projections extend from the skin portion generally toward the aperture and are configured to contact the body when the retaining ring is coupled to the body. The covering deflects from a first position to a second position when acted upon by a force, and then returns to the first position when the force is removed. |
