<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that enables a user to make a choice between a power-saving mode and convenience by entering the power-saving mode a time, set at an operation part, after an image forming operation ends and also turning off the electric power of a designated sensor part. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus is equipped with a lamp position detecting means 74a of detecting whether a lighting lamp of a document read part returns to a predetermined position, a paper conveyance detecting means 74b of detecting whether a form is present in a conveyance path and a paper jam, a document mounting detecting means 72a of detecting whether a document is placed at the document read part, a pressure plate opening/closing detecting means 72b of detecting the opening/closing of a pressing plate for pressing the document on the document read part, a powering-off means 71b of interrupting the electric power of each detecting means, a timer count part 71a for clocking a predetermined set time, an operation part 70 for making indications and display for operations of the image forming apparatus, an electrophotographic process part 76, a main body control board 71 which controls the whole, a power source 77 which supplies electric power to each of parts, and a power SW 78 for turning on/off the power source 77. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
