PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binding leg capable of quickly performing binding, adding and removing flat papers, and a file with the binding leg. SOLUTION: The binding leg 1 made of a resin for binding the flat papers by inserting it through a binding hole, is provided at a specified position between a connecting part 12 and a backing strip 11, and is provided with a deforming part 14 bendable in one direction, an apex region 10a straightly extending from the connecting part 12 to an apex part, and a pair of fitting parts 13 provided through the connecting part 12. It is characterized by that the flat papers are bound by inserting the binding leg 1 into the binding hole, bending the deforming part 14 in one direction, bending the connecting part 12 in the other direction, fitting it to a fitting part 13, and bringing the apex part in the other direction from the binding hole.
