PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treated aluminum material having excellent corrosion resistance, preferably subjected to intensive working, and used in an intensively corrosive environment. SOLUTION: The surface treated aluminum material is provided with: a metal base material consisting of aluminum or an aluminum alloy; an undercoat layer consisting of an anodically oxidized film and formed on the surface of the metal base material; and a coating layer comprising a silane coupling agent and formed on the surface of the undercoat layer.
