<p>A pneumatic tire, characterized in that a rubber composition comprising a polybutadiene having a cis-1,4 bonding content of 99.0 % or more and a vinyl bonding content of 0.3 % or less, as measured by the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, is used in a part thereof. The pneumatic tire wherein the polybutadiene further has an appropriate number average molecular weight (Mn) and molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) exhibits excellent mechanical characteristics.</p>
