SYSTEM OF CONTROLLING ACCESS TO AND/OR THE START UP OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, COMPRISING USER ALERT MEANS

The invention relates to a system of controlling access to and/or the start up of a motor vehicle (V). The inventive system is of the type that comprises a portable device (2) which is adapted to communicate by means of radio-frequency signals with a piece of equipment (1) that is located on the motor vehicle (V), in order to authorise or prevent access to and/or the start up of the motor vehicle (V). Moreover, said motor vehicle (V) is also equipped with a back-up means which is used to authorise or prevent vehicle access and/or start up instead of the above-mentioned control system. According to the invention, the system also comprises means (4-6; 4-6, 8) of detecting interfering radio-frequency signals which are emitted independently of the control system and means (7) of alerting the user which are triggered following the detection of interfering signals, in order to indicate to the user that he/she must use the back-up means. The invention is suitable for RF remote controls and for hands-free start-up and/or access systems.
