<p>There is provided an On-Screen graphics Display (OSD) for displaying multiple display formats. The OSD includes a graphics plane, having a pre-specified number of lines, for displaying graphics in different subsets of the pre-specified number of lines. One subset is defined as a rendered area that is displayed for a display format associated with a video signal, and a second area, defined as a contingently rendered area, is rendered responsively to the display format.</p> |
