<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope by which the hardening of the insertion part against the intension of an operator can be prevented. SOLUTION: In an endoscope, both the wire 13 whose end is fixed to the soft part 1 in the vicinity of its end and a coil 14 whose front end is fixed to the vicinity of the wire 13 tip and the rearward movement of the rear end thereof is restricted by a coil stopper 16 are inserted into a soft part 6, and the wire 13 extended rearwards from the rear end of the coil 14 passes through the groove part 20a of a traction member 20 which is reciprocated by the rotational operation of a hardness adjustment knob 26 that has been provided to the vicinity of the front end of an operational part 3, and a wire stopper 18 is fitted in the rearward position apart at a distance L from the traction member 20 so as to have a play. Accordingly, when the soft part 6 is looped, the wire 13 moves foreward with reard to the coil 14, so that the hitting of the wire stopper 18 to the traction member 20 can be prevented by the play. While, when there is no play, a compression force is exerted to the coil 14, and the soft part can be prevented from being hardened.</p> |
