Liquid compositions for making sustained-release capsules comprise an active ingredient dissolved or dispersed in solvents and form a compact and biodegradable matrix by instantaneous physical modification of the capsule contents on contact with digestive fluids, resulting in release of the active ingredient over more than 1 hour, the release being modulatable by incorporation of additives. |
