PURPOSE: A valve mechanism is provided to secure an accurate and stable operation in a pressure chamber such as a pump system and to move a valve disc relatively between start and final positions. CONSTITUTION: A valve mechanism for a pressure chamber(7), especially a pump system, is composed of a tappet(2) and a valve disc(3) stuck on the tappet. The valve disc is attached on the tappet to move about the tappet. At least one cutout element(11) is disposed at the tappet to limit a path of the valve disc. A medium channel(8) is formed in the tappet to close by the valve disc. A piston sleeve(5) is arranged on the tappet and attached on the tappet to receive by at least one elastic return unit and move relatively.
