PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and its driving method are provided to reduce power consumption and the generation of EMI according to data transmission by minimizing data transmission. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal panel assembly(300) includes a plurality of gate lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of pixels connected to the gate line and the data line and arranged in a matrix. A data driver unit(500) includes a latch storing image data, and applies a data voltage corresponding to the image data to the pixel. And a signal control unit(600) transmits an information signal to the data driver unit, and transmits pixel data to the data driver unit if the pixel data is not equal to pixel data of a prior row. The data driver unit includes a data selection unit providing the pixel data to the latch selectively according to the information signal.
