Cell has an anode porous layer (10a) between an active anode layer (3a) and an anode bipolar plate (5a). A cavity between the layer (3a) and plate allows fuel distribution in the layer (3a). A cathode porous layer (10c) is inserted between an active cathode layer and a cathode bipolar plate. A cavity between the active cathode layer and the cathode plate allows combustion fuel distribution in the active cathode layer.
