<p>A releasing device for enabling rotation of a chin guard (10) hinged to the sides of the cap of a crash helmet, in particular a helmet for motor-cyclists, which comprises at least one mechanism (3) for engagement/release of the chin guard with respect to the cap, first means (1) for actuation of the engagement/release mechanism and second means (6) for inhibition of release, in which said first and second means can be actuated by the user.
