<p>Cosmetic and/or dermatological antiperspirant and deodorant preparations comprising translucent to transparent emulsion gels, with oil and water phases containing polyethoxylated and/or polypropoxylated oil-in-water (O/W) emulsifier(s), polyol(s) and antiperspirant active agents are new. Novel cosmetic and/or dermatological preparations (I), for inhibiting excessive odor and perspiration release from the skin, consist of optically translucent to transparent, alcohol-free emulsion gels (especially microemulsion gels of oil-in-water (O/W) type), including oil and water phases. (I) contain polyethoxylated and/or polypropoxylated O/W emulsifier(s) and polyol(s), and optionally also water-in-oil (W/O) emulsifier(s); and have an emulsifier content of less than 20 wt. %, an antiperspirant content of 5-40 wt. % and a polyol content of 1-30 wt. %. (I) are obtained by heating a mixture of the base components (i.e. the water and oil phases, O/W emulsifiers, optionally W/O emulsifiers and optionally further auxiliaries, additives and/or active agents) until all of the components are dissolved, then cooling to room temperature under stirring, such that the emulsion is not homogenized and the droplets of the discontinuous oil phase are bonded together by the polyols.</p> |
