The flowability of a powdery vinyl chloride polymer or copolymer (containing at least 50% by wt. of vinyl chloride units) obtained by polymerization in aqueous suspension is improved by adding 0.0001-0.05% by wt. of the polymer of a surfactant after separating the polymer from the polymerization liquor but before drying. The surfactant may be a sulphate, sulphonate, sulphosuccinic acid ester, ethylene oxide or propylene oxide condensates with alcohols, phenols or carboxylic acids, amines, quaternary ammonium compounds or alkali metal salts of dialkyldisulphonimides. In one example, a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate copolymer is used. |
