The vehicle is for the transport of wheelchairs or similar and has a loading space on a load floor (1) for at least one wheelchair. It has a deepened part (3) of the load floor in relation to the remainder of the floor and to an outer end of the deepened parts connects a drive-on plate (4). This plate enables wheelchairs to be maneuvered on and off the load floor. The plate is pivotable upwards around a horizontal axis from a position for loading on and off wheelchairs. The pivot axis is movable in a height direction.
