PURPOSE: A plasma display panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve image quality by forming an oxide layer having a low dielectric constant to prevent a mis-discharge of a plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: An address electrode(112X) is formed on a lower substrate(118). A scan/sustain electrode(112Y) and a common sustain electrode(112Z) are formed on an upper substrate(110). A lower dielectric layer(122) for accumulating wall charges is formed on the lower substrate. A grid-type separation wall(124) being superposed on a bus electrode(112b) is formed on the lower dielectric layer. An oxide layer(145) is formed on the grid-type separation wall. A fluorescent material is applied to surfaces of the oxide layer and the grid-type separation wall. The grid-type separation wall is comprised of a horizontal separation wall in parallel with a pair of sustain electrodes and a vertical separation wall. |
