PURPOSE: A motor driving apparatus, a compressor, an air conditioner, a refrigerator, an electric laundry machine, a fan, a vacuum cleaner, an electric dryer, and a heat pump are provided to stabilize an operation of a motor by avoiding a specific frequency. CONSTITUTION: A motor driving apparatus drives a brushless motor(2) and includes a power converting circuit and a controller. The power converting circuit converts an output voltage of an alternating source to a driving voltage and outputs the result to the brushless motor. The controller controls the power converting circuit to have an output current having a frequency which is not fixed at a predetermined one. The alternating source includes a single-phase alternating source(20) and a current rectifier(10). The power converting circuit includes an inverter circuit(3) for converting an output of the rectifier to the driving voltage and outputs the result into the brushless motor. The controller controls the inverter circuit to have an output current having a frequency which is not fixed at a predetermined one.
