A radial rolling bearing such as the prior art bearing illustrated in Fig. 1 is modified by making the axially resilient flange 8 in the form of a plurality of tongues 8, 9, Fig. 2, the effective spring length of each tongue being greater than its radial extent. This latter condition is met by bending the tongue axially and/or forming it with peripherally extending portions. |
