In a pressure-sensitive copying sheet of the colour-reactive kind, the colour-former is: where R 1 and R 2 are alkyl groups of up to five carbon atoms. The colour-former is present on one face of a sheet support as a solution in an. oily solvent in microcapsules. The other reagent may be an acid clay, active clay, attapulgite, bentonite or a phenolic resin, and may be on the same side of the support sheet, on the opposite side of the support sheet or on a separate support sheet. This colour-former forms red images and may be used with known yellow or blue colour-formers to form images of other colours, e.g. black.</p> |
