<p>An improved dowel (10) that is capable of quickly and easily connecting two or more adjoining components. In the embodiment, the dowel (10) may have three dowel sections (14) positioned between a base (20) and a tip (18). Each dowel section has a diameter and may be positioned axially adjacent at least one other dowel section wherein the diameters decrease over the length of the dowel from the base of the tip (18).
