PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for processing the signals of encoder are provided to accurately control the position and speed of the target by generating the square wave signal after the sinusoidal signals which are degrees out of phase with respect to each other are multiplied. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for processing the signals of encoder includes a multiplying unit(610) and an analog-to-digital converting unit(630). The multiplying unit performs n times by continuously multiplying the sinusoidal signals A and B which are 90 degrees out of phase with respect to each other by two times. And, the analog-to-digital converting unit converts the n number of multiplied signals for the sinusoidal signals A and B supplied from the multiplying unit.
