PURPOSE: Provided is an automated method of cutting extra fabric for a hat rim which is conventionally carried out by hand, maximizing productivity and enhancing quality of the product by maintaining a constant space for extra fabric for a hat rim. The automatic cutting is possible because inside rim part is made a circle with a certain curvature radius by slightly bending the hat rim. CONSTITUTION: The method of cutting fabric comprises: a step of maintaining end line of the hard plate(1b), which contacts forehead when put on, a circle with a central point and cutting an extra fabric(1c) of the rim fabric with a certain length by a revolving process of a revolving body turning around based on the central point.
