PURPOSE: A heating apparatus for a vehicle is provided to reduce warming-up time by heating low temperature coolant quickly at the initial stage of starting, and to prevent leak by inserting the auxiliary heating unit to the lower part of the main heater and brazing the penetration hole of the tank and the edge. CONSTITUTION: Plural tube plates with cooling fins are stacked in parallel between headers, and breakage of the cooling fins is prevented with plural side plates. A penetration hole is formed in a tank, and an auxiliary heating unit(5) is inserted to the penetration hole of the tank and fastened to the tank by brazing. A hot wire(52) is inserted to a heating body(51) of the auxiliary heating unit, and an insulating material(53) is sealed and inserted between the heating body and the hot wire. An edge(54) is formed in the circumference of the heating body, and fastened to the penetration hole by brazing.
