PURPOSE: A method for supplying a multimedia character through a wireless communication network is provided to freely select various multimedia-type characters having information contents accorded with a message to be transmitted, and to transmit the selected characters to other receiving subscriber, thereby effectively sending a desired message to a receiver. CONSTITUTION: An originating mobile communication terminal(10) inputs conditions about a receiving subscriber to which a message is transmitted, and sends the message. A character service server(32) of a wireless communication network suggests character items having information contents accorded with the conditions. The originating terminal(10) selects a character item having information contents approximate to message contents to be transmitted. The character service server(32) transmits multimedia character data in accordance with the selected character item to a receiving terminal(12) to reproduce the character data.
