PURPOSE: A device and a method for controlling a car hands-free microphone position are provided to use a car hands-free microphone as a voice-oriented microphone, in order to automatically control the voice-oriented microphone to a position where a voice is generated, thereby minimizing the inflow of noises within the microphone except a user's voice. CONSTITUTION: A microphone(10) is rotatively mounted inside a car. An actuator member(20) rotates the microphone(10) at predetermined angle. A controller(30) controls the actuator member(20). The controller(30) comprises as follows. A frequency analyzer(31) receives a sound signal from the microphone(10) to convert into a frequency domain, and obtains a frequency spectrum. An integrator(33) integrates the amplitude of 500Hz to 2000Hz sections of the obtained frequency spectrum. An actuator controller(35) calculates a direction for showing a maximum value of an integration value calculated from the integrator(33), and controls a direction of the actuator member(20).
