PURPOSE: A magnetron is provided to allow for ease of brazing of terminal rods and connection plates, by forming protrusions at ends of terminal rods. CONSTITUTION: A magnetron comprises a filament formed into a coil shape; a pair of shields fixed at ends of the filaments; a pair of leads(16a,16b) having one sides fixed at the respective shields; a pair of connection plates(23a,23b) arranged on the other sides of the leads; and a pair of terminal rods(22a,22b) having one ends fixed at one of the connection plates so as to supply power to the leads through the connection plates. The connection plate side ends of the terminal rods have protrusions(223a,223b) having relatively smaller cross areas than the connection plate side ends of the terminal rods. The protrusions penetrate through the connection plates, such that the terminal rods and the connection plates are brazed with each other.
