PURPOSE: An electro-optic device, a method for driving the same, a projection display device and an electronic device are provided to increase the visibility of the moving picture together with securing the uniformity of the display quality in the screen by suppressing the deterioration. CONSTITUTION: An electro-optic device includes a plurality of pixels and a driving circuit. The plurality of pixels is arranged in the pixel display area. The driving circuit drives the pixels. The driving circuit divides one frame into a plurality of continuous fields, wherein one of two continuous field data is image data and the other is display data. The continuous two field data is written by a horizontal period with changing the write start time of each field in a vertical period. And, the polarity of the data signal is inversed with reference to the predetermined voltage for each of the two continuous fields.
