#CMT# #/CMT# The transparent substrate (6), especially of glass, has an anti-reflective coating on at least one side made from four thin layers of dielectric materials, e.g. metal oxides, having alternate strong and weak refractive indices. The first and third layers (1, 3) have a high refractive index - between 1.8 and 2.3, and the second and fourth have low refractive indices - between 1.3 and 1.7. The first and second layers are 5 - 50 nm thick; the third has a thickness of 100 - 120 nm, and the fourth between 80 and 90 nm. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Glass with anti-reflective coating, at least in visible and near infrared light ranges, e.g. for solar cells. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The anti-reflective coating gives enhanced light transmission and is sufficiently durable for exterior use. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a cross-section of a portion of the transparent substrate and coating layers. 6 : Transparent substrate 1, 2, 3, 4 : Anti-reflective coating layers #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# The substrate is preferably of glass, but can be based on a polymer e.g. polycarbonate.
|
