The hydraulic jack (9), fixed on a support (12) comprising two male squares (11) for receiving a socket spanner, enables the unlocking and re-clamping of the vehicle wheel. The hydraulic jack comprises two notched beams (4) which are supported on a spindle (3) located on each lifting arm (2) by means of a spring (7). During lowering of the jack locking is cancelled by means of an operating lever which is supported on the crosspiece of the notched beams.
