PURPOSE: A shrink-fit device of a retainer ring of a rotor for a generator is provided to minimize working errors, and to install the retainer ring conveniently by moving the retainer ring back and forth and by regulating the moving speed and adjusting the distance easily in shrink-fitting. CONSTITUTION: A retainer ring shrink-fitting device is composed of a retainer ring(12) shrink-fitted to the side of a rotor(10) of a generator, a rod(14) or more combined with the circumference of the retainer ring, a cylinder(16) formed in the end of the rod to reciprocate the rod, a rail jig(22) fastened to a bearing journal of the rotor to support the cylinder, and a control unit(30) connected to the cylinder by an oil hose(26) to inject or suck oil in the cylinder. A supporting bar is formed in the rear part of the cylinder and combined with the rail jig to prevent backward movement of the cylinder, and the control unit is composed of a housing having an oil pump and a solenoid valve and a control panel formed in the upper part of the housing to operate the cylinder.
