PURPOSE: Provided is a composition containing polyphenol purified from green tea, ascorbic acid or its derivatives. The composition has anti-photoxic effect on the skin. Therefore, the composition is used for cosmetics, foods and pharmaceuticals for inhibition of ultraviolet injury. CONSTITUTION: The composition having anti-photoxic effect on the skin is characterized by containing 50-95 parts by weight of green tea polyphenols, and 5-50 parts by weight of ascorbic acid or its derivatives. The polyphenol is selected from epigallocatechin gallate, epicatechin gallate, and epigallocatechin. And ascorbic acid or its derivative is selected from ascorbic acid, ascorbyl palmitate, calcium ascorbate, magnesium ascorbate and zinc ascorbate.
