PURPOSE: A system for testing an electronic device and a method for testing the same are provided to test the remote controller and the electronic device regardless of the transmission range of the carrier frequency. CONSTITUTION: A system for testing an electronic device includes a remote control signal receiving unit, a remote control signal storage unit(200), a remote control signal selection unit and a remote control signal output unit. The remote control signal receiving unit receives the remote control signal transmitted from the remote controller. The remote control signal storage unit performs the sampling for the received remote control signal into the predetermined frequency and stores the sampled remote control signal by each function. The remote control signal selection unit selects one of the remote control signals stored at the remote control signal storage unit. And, the remote control signal output unit outputs the signal selected by the remote control signal selection unit to the electronic device.
