PURPOSE: An image display device is provided to simplify manufacturing procedures, allow for a low voltage driving, and extended lifespan of the device. CONSTITUTION: An image display device comprises a gas electron multiplier for amplifying electrons emitted from gas, into light and electrons. The amplified light and electrons collide against a phosphor plate, thereby generating effective light to be used in the image display device.
