PURPOSE: A hand protecting device of a robot is provided to protect the hand of the robot by transmitting the emergency signal to the control unit, stopping the operation of the robot hand, and placing the hand of the robot in the right position after releasing the emergency state. CONSTITUTION: A hand protecting device of a robot is composed of a base frame(100) having plural supports(130) and upper and lower plates(110,120), a buffer unit(200) combined with the upper plate of the base frame and composed of a plunger holder(210) embedding a first elastic member(230) and the end of a first plunger(220) in a line to buffer impact, a sensor unit combined with the buffer unit and composed of a switching unit for detecting collision of the hand of the robot, and a guide unit(400) displaced according to impact at a collision of the hand of the robot to switch the sensor unit.
