In an induction flowmeter, the magnetic core is formed by a magnetic wire rope wound helically over the exciting coils Figs. 1..3 (not shown). The rope may have any cross-section as illustrated in Fig. 5 (not shown). Modifications:- (i) the wire may be formed into a number of rings to slide over the coils Fig. 4 (not shown). (ii) A strand of wire coated with adhesive may be wound in a honey-comb form cylindrical coil, and heat cured to form a cylindrical core to slide over the exciting coils Figs. 6..9 (not shown). |
