PURPOSE: A lawn protecting block is provided to prevent slip and to recycle the waste by manufacturing the lawn protecting block of the waste tire and sand, and to protect the lawn by feeding sunlight, water and nutriment sufficiently through the open top of the block. CONSTITUTION: A lawn protecting block is composed of an upper block(100) and a lower block(200). The upper block is formed of a polygonal column, and composed of plural hollow holes(110) formed in the upper part and the lower part and male and female assembling links(120a,120b) arranged alternately. The lower block is arranged in the lower part of the upper block, and composed of ribs(210) protruded from the apexes to the center, planting spaces(220) divided and protruded parts(230) formed in the upper edge. Recessed grooves(240) are formed between the protruded parts, and the upper block and the lower block are manufactured by mixing the waste tire and sand.
