PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for carrying out batchwise polycondensation of polyester, etc., which permits residues to be discharged efficiently, causes foams to be broken easily and ensures high reaction rate during a final condensation step. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for producing polycondensed polymer from an oligomeric precursor while removing and evaporating low-molecular weight condensation products, comprises a conical jacket(4)-heated container equipped with a spiral or double spiral stirrer(6) and capable of being heated by an additional heater, wherein the container has an open angle of the cone ranging from 20 deg. to 120 deg. and the polycondensation reaction is performed in the container.
