PURPOSE: A driving apparatus is provided to reduce the number of pins between a horizontal electrode control unit and a driving unit and drive horizontal electrodes at the same time by permitting a driving unit to have a plurality of comparators. CONSTITUTION: A driving apparatus comprises a horizontal electrode control unit(20) and a driving unit(21). The driving unit includes n-number of comparators for comparing the encoding signal output from the horizontal electrode control unit and the data pre-stored in each of n-number of registers, and outputting encoded data; n-number of latches for latching the data output from the n-number of comparators; and a high voltage switch unit for outputting a high voltage in accordance with the data output from the n-number of latches. An n-bit data bus is arranged between the horizontal electrode control unit and the comparators of the driving unit so as to encode input red, green and blue data and transmit the encoded data.
