The breaker has a connection mechanism to disconnect mobile contacts of mobile units (6) from stationary contacts of conductors when a pivoting unit (18) rotates in a preset direction. The mechanism allows electromagnetic repulsion in one mobile unit to act in a direction opposite to the preset direction by a series of electromagnetic repulsions in other mobile units when short duration current passes via a contact mechanism.
