METHOD FOR DESIGNING LIFTING LUG USED TO TRANSFER PIPES AND VESSELS

PURPOSE: A method for designing a lifting lug used to transfer pipes and vessels is provided to efficiently design/make the lifting lug by automatically designing/verifying the lifting lug with weight/specification information of the pipes or the vessels attaching the lifting lug, and automatically outputting a lifting lug design drawing. CONSTITUTION: Design related factors for the lifting lug are stored in a database(S11). Calculation formulations are programmed/managed by linking the calculation programs with each other(S12). For designing the lifting lug, a weight and a specification of the pipe or the vessel attaching the lifting lug are inputted(S13). A corresponding lifting lug design calculation is performed by using the weight/specification and the linked design formulation, and a result is output(S14).
