PURPOSE: A method for transceiving messages in a terminal is provided to enable a receiving terminal to decide whether a 'receiving confirm mode' is set and to inform an originating terminal of decided results, when a message is transmitted, so that an originator can know that the message is confirmed by the receiver. CONSTITUTION: When an SMS message is received(410), a receiving terminal enters an SMS receiving mode(412). A controller of the receiving terminal decides whether a 'receiving confirm mode' is set in the received message(416). If so, the controller displays whether to inform an originator of a receiving confirmation(418). If the originator selects the receiving confirmation, the controller reads a 'scheduled letter' stored in a memory, and transmits the 'scheduled letter' to an originating terminal(420). A message deleting/retaining process is performed(422). |
